The desert form of Agave marmorata has strikingly beautiful, powdery blue-gray leaves with distinctive cross-banding. In frost free areas, this plant can grow to be a large plant, reaching 6 feet or more in width. This one tends to be solitary, generally not developing any offsets. In frost free areas, grow this one in your landscape, but allow ample room for full development. Everywhere else, grow this as a container plant that you will be able to protect in the winter.
