Agave parviflora ssp. densiflora is a recently described subspecies from east central Sonora, Mexico. When first seen without flowers, these appeared to be Agave schidigera, but once flowers were found, it became quite clear that they were a more densely flowered form of Agave parviflora which gave rise to the subspecies name. Narrow, dark green leaves with intricate white markings and curly white threads along the margins. Small, greenish yellow flowers are more densely packed than the species.
