Coryphantha recurvata, the Golden-Chested Beehive Cactus (what a great common name), is native to Arizona and Sonora, Mexico. The plants are clustering forming clumps with up to 50 heads. Individual stems are rounded to short cylindrical, up to about 8 inches tall and 6 inches across. New spines are a beautiful golden yellow, turning gray with age. Yellow flowers have darker mid-stripes.
