Description
Agave ‘Blue Glow’ is supposed to be a cross between Agave attenuata and Agave ocahui, but plants that have flowered show no characteristics of either. This is a hybrid that strongly resembles some of those created by Ed Hummel many years ago and were widely distributed in horticulture. It would be interesting to know just what the parentage is, but regardless, it is a nice plant that does well in the desert southwest. The plants are not really blue, but the red and yellow edges do glow if back-lit by the setting sun.
