Description
I described Agave calciphila in 2020 from the ‘rock gardens’ at Nizanda, Oaxaca. The plants grow on sharp limestone and reach about 2-3 feet tall by 2-4 feet across. Leaf color ranges from light yellow-green to medium or dark-green. Teeth are reddish brown to dark brown when new aging to gray on older leaves. For more information, see Cactus and Succulent Journal Vol 92 No 2, summer of 2020.
