Description
Agave lophantha ‘Quadricolor’ is so named for the three distinct colors on the leaf tissue plus the reddish color of the teeth on new leaves. It is a bit of a stretch but ‘Quadricolor’ sounds more impressive than ‘Tricolor’! The San Marcos Growers website states that a customer in South Carolina grows the cultivar and has had it experience 11 degrees F without damage, so this should be hardy in USDA zone 8a.
