Agave pablocarilloi is a recent split from Agave gypsophila These were obtained as bulbils from a plant that flowered in the San Francisco Bay area and are growing in 3-inch pots.

Agave pablocarilloi was once known as Agave gypsophila until that species was re-evaluated and divided into five species. This one has wavy to undulating blue-gray leaves and orange-yellow flowers when it finally does bloom. The species is endemic to the state of Colima in southwestern Mexico.
