Agave palmeri is native to southeastern Arizona, southeastern New Mexico, northeastern Sonora, and northwestern Chihuahua. Plant size is variable, ranging from about 2 feet across to over 6 feet across.
These Agave palmeri were grown from seed collected off plants at the western end of its range and are in 3-inch pots. The area is very dry and ravaged by cattle, and plants sought refuge under trees as seen in the images in the gallery. When given some attention these will be very attractive plants.
