Thelocactus leucacanthus is a clustering type with globose or ovoid bodies growing to about 5 or 6 inches tall and about 3 inches across. It has 2-2.5 inch wide, yellow flowers that appear several times throughout the summer months. This one is native to the central Mexican states of Hidalgo and Queretaro, growing on limestone hills.
