Description
Thelocactus rinconensis is a hardy Chihuahuan Desert species, mostly found in xeric regions in Nuevo Leon and Coahuila. Plants have a globose to depressed-globose, blue-green body, sometimes tinged with purple, new spines can be golden yellow, black or brown, while older spines can be black, brown or whitish gray and large white, yellowish or pink flowers. There are many forms and consequently many subspecies names to go along with those forms. Our plants are considered to be subspecies rinconensis.
