Turbinicarpus jauernigii


Turbinicarpus jauernigii is native to the state of San Luis Potosi in central Mexico. Small, solitary, blue gray bodies are about 2 inches across. Pink and yellow flowers are just under 1 inch across.

Turbinicarpus jauernigii has a flattened to rounded stem with nearly flat tubercles topped by a single spine that does fall off with age. Plants are solitary, measuring about 2 inches across and are blue-gray to gray-green. The single spine readily detaches from the plant as it ages. Flowers are mostly yellow with a hint of pink and measure about 1 inch across.
