I selected a seedling from a batch of plants I grew from seed off of a cultivated Agave victoriae-reginae that was likely cross-pollinated by Agave palmeri. The plants do not get very large, topping out at about 2 feet in diameter. The plant available for purchase is growing in a 3-inch pot, smaller than the one pictured. The gallery image is of one of my original plants that is nearing blooming size.

Agave ‘Burnt Burgundy’ is a selection I made from a batch of seed grown off of a cultivated plant of Agave victoriae-reginae. The plant was open pollinated and there was Agave palmeri in flower not far away, which I suspect is the pollen parent.
