Agave parrasana x Agave potatorum

Description

Agave parrasana x Agave potatorum is a hybrid made by Brian Kemble at the Ruth Bancroft Garden in Walnut Creek, CA. Plants seem to show intermediate characteristics between the two parent species, as seen in the photo of the featured plant. The plants are definitely hardier than A. potatorum, having survived 20 degrees F with no damage. They are slow growing which they get from A. parrasana.
